July 6-7 + October 6

Recent legislation requires those seeking to harvest, identify or distribute wild harvested mushrooms in New Hampshire to apply for and receive a license from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Food Protection Section.  Those seeking to apply for the license must first successfully complete a course in safe wild mushroom identification and harvesting practices.  The course that meets the criteria in New Hampshire law will offered on the following dates and locations. 

July 6-7, 2024, at the Doris L Benz Sandwich Community Center, 18 Heard Rd., Center Sandwich, NH 03227. The course will be held from 9am to 5pm each day which includes the final exam.  Registration for the course is available at Wild Mushroom Food Safety Certification TIER 1 - NEW HAMPSHIRE - JUL 6 – Mushroom Mountain 

October 6, 2024, at the University of New Hampshire, 181 Spaulding Hall, 38 Academic Way, Durham NH 03824.  This course, which is intended for those experienced with Wild Harvested Mushrooms, will be held from 9am-2pm, which includes the final exam.  Registration for the course is available at Wild Mushroom Food Safety Certification TIER 1 - NEW HAMPSHIRE - OCT 6 – Mushroom Mountain
