Protecting Workers: Understanding H-2A Temporary Agricultural Employment & Child Labor Laws with NH Farm Bureau
Please join us in person or on line for this FREE informative presentation by Ava Maria Allaire, U.S. Dept of Labor Specialist, as she provides a comprehensive overview of the Department of Labor's H-2A Temporary Agricultural Program and federal child labor provisions. Participants will learn about employer obligations, worker protections, recruitment requirements, wage standards, and housing/transportation for H-2A workers. The session also covers child labor laws, including age restrictions, hazardous occupations, hour limitations, and compliance strategies for both agricultural and non-agricultural employment. Attendees will gain practical insights and best practices to ensure safe, fair, and legal workplaces for all employees, including minors and temporary foreign workers.
