New Hampshire has hundreds of organizations working to improve our food system—but too often, their efforts are fragmented. The NH Food Alliance is the only statewide network bringing this work together—so local food can thrive, communities can access it, and lasting solutions can take root.
The NH Food Alliance is funded entirely by individual donors, private foundations and any donation, big or small, sustains our work here. 2026 marks an exciting milestone for us: for the first time, we are building an individual donor community to support the NH Food Alliance’s work across the state.

25 Donors. $10,000. One Stronger Food System.
This spring, April 7-10, the NH Food Alliance is participating in the (603) Challenge — the University of New Hampshire’s annual online fundraising event that brings together alumni, friends, and supporters to invest in the programs they care about most. During the Challenge, gifts of any size can go even further thanks to special matches and bonus opportunities designed to amplify community support.
- April 7 is Kick-Off Day! Every gift will be matched up to a certain amount until matching funds run out
- April 9 is NH Numbers Day! Any gift that includes the numerals 6, 0, and 3, in any order, will receive an additional bonus
- April 10 is the Final Day! Any gift will receive an equal portion of bonus funds
The NH Food Alliance is a proud program of UNH, but our work is powered by the generosity of individual donors and private foundations who believe in building a thriving, equitable food system for all Granite Staters.
The (603) Challenge gives us a powerful opportunity to grow that community — and unlock additional support for our work. If we reach 25 new individual donors during the challenge, an additional $10,000 gift will be unlocked for the NH Food Alliance.
