Grafton County Conservation District: Fall 2026 Conservation Tour Registration
If you’re curious about conservation projects around Grafton County, then get ready for the Fall Conservation Tour! Join us to learn from your neighbors and engage with the conservation community. We’re starting things off with two free sessions:
Tour 1: Agriforestry Summer Session in Piermont, 8/28 at 5:30pm
Join the GCCD and Sullivan County Conservation District in exploring agroforestry topics such as forest farming, riparian buffers, edible windbreaks, and other topics, at Robie Farm on the banks of the Connecticut River.
Tour 2: Rotational Grazing in Canaan, 9/4 at 3:00pm
In this tour, we will learn about how Hillcrest Farm utilizes rotational grazing to rest sections of pasture, allowing for regrowth of desirable forage species and improved pasture health. A multigenerational farm and two-time NH Conservation Districts Climate Resilience Grant recipient, Hillcrest Farm raises registered Hereford and Red Angus cattle.
In respect to parking constraints, all tours are capped in size and registration is required. These tours will also be occurring outdoors, so please prepare accordingly (sunscreen, water, bug spray, etc.) and remember to check for ticks!
