UNH Extension: Foundations of Field Scouting & IPM
Healthy crops start with good scouting! Join us for an interactive, on-farm workshop designed to help farmers build confidence in identifying common crop pests, diseases, and plant health issues.
During this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the basics of Integrated Pest Management (IPM), including how to scout your fields effectively, recognize signs of pest and disease damage, and use scouting records to make informed management decisions. Participants will also get an introduction to statewide pest monitoring resources and diagnostic services available to support growers.
During a guided farm tour, we'll practice scouting techniques and work together to identify pests, diseases, and other crop damage that we find.
This workshop is geared towards beginning farmers, but all are welcome. There is no cost, but registration is appreciated.
