Onward with Determination: Helping Farms Adapt to the Climate Crisis
New Hampshire farmers are feeling the effects of the climate crisis firsthand.
For Sam and Sarah of Manning Hill Farm in Winchester, last spring's near-constant rainfall followed by extended drought meant they could not produce enough hay to feed their cows through the winter.
To help farms manage and mitigate the effects of climate change, the New Hampshire Conservation Districts' Climate Resilience Grant Program provides flexible funding for projects that strengthen resilience across the state. Foundation funds help support the program.
