Mastering Body Condition Scoring: A Workshop for Cattle Owners

July 9, 5:30 - 7:30PM

Join UNH Extension for an educational workshop designed to help livestock owners understand and apply body condition scoring (BCS) techniques for their cattle. Body condition scoring is a valuable management tool that allows producers to assess the nutritional status and overall health of their herd using a standardized 1–9 scale.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn how to evaluate body condition scores visually and consistently
  • Understand how BCS relates to herd productivity, reproduction, and health
  • Explore the role of nutrition and management in maintaining ideal body condition
  • For persons with disabilities requiring special accommodations, please contact our office at 603-788-4961 prior to the event. Given ample time, we will make any reasonable effort to meet your needs, including language access services if requested, which will be provided free of charge.
