Call for 2025 Weekly Market Bulletin Retail Produce Prices!
Each year during the growing and harvest season the NH Department of Agriculture, Markets, and Food gathers and summarizes retail produce prices from farm stands throughout New Hampshire in the Weekly Market Bulletin newsletter. This summary includes price ranges for different crops from various farm retail outlets. The information is reviewed and used by producers throughout the state and region. To provide the most valuable information, the state is split into two geographic regions based on recommendations from UNH Cooperative Extension. The two regions are: Merrimack Valley-Seacoast (MV/SEA) and the Connecticut Valley-North Country (CT/NC).
For these prices to be most effective, they need a minimum of five farms in each region that are willing to share retail price information every other week. This is completely anonymous. No names are tied to the price information in any way. They know not everyone has all the items listed. Also, they can add things you have that are not on the list. They typically need price information Monday mornings, and you can email them, or they can call you for the most up-to-date prices and what crops are available. Phone calls may take up to ten minutes, depending on the products you have available. But they will need your current, real prices. They cannot use the same price sheet for the entire season.
Will you help them with this important project? The first price summary will be in the Weekly Market Bulletin when sufficient data is available. If you have any questions, please contact Terri Sheridan at 603-271-3551, or email: marketbulletin@agr.nh.gov.
