Part of NH Food Alliance's 2023-2024 Network Cafe Series

On October 6, the NH Food Alliance (NHFA) hosted "Estimating Resilient Eating Patterns," part of our 2023-2024 Network Cafe Series. During the café, we were joined by Brian Donohue, of Brandeis University, who lead the research team for Volume 1 of A Regional Approach to Food System Resilience. In their work, Brian and the team examined the question “If we ate in a healthier, more resilient way, could more of our food be supplied by regional production?” We heard an overview of “Volume 1: Estimating Resilient Eating Patterns,” and Brian shared about the team’s work analyzing dietary patterns across major food groups to better understand the food that New Englanders currently consume—and how that might change by 2030. We found out what they learned and discussed the research’s implications for New Hampshire's food system.

Our next Network Cafe will be on Friday, November 3 from 12-1PM. We will continue our exploration of the report through a discussion of "Volume 2: Estimating Production for Regional Self-Reliance." Register and get more details about the entire 2023-2024 Network Café Series here
