Monadnock farmers and food insecure households will benefit from a generous donation from the You Have Our Trust Fund, a donor-advised fund at the NH Charitable Foundation. A donation of $25,000 will find its way to MFCC's Locals' Local Fund to assure that locally produced food will be available alongside other food offerings at Monadnock Mobile Food Pantry delivery sites this summer and fall.
"Our Food Access Alliance work group partnered with The Community Kitchen to develop and launch the Monadnock Mobile Food Pantry program in our region. Getting local onto the plates of all community members and infusing much needed income into the pockets of our farmers is a huge win-win for everyone involved." says Roe-Ann Tasoulas, MFCC director. "This very generous donation contributes both to the health of our local economy and to the health of our community."
Upcoming Monadnock Mobile Food Pantry sites and dates:
July 29, 1pm: Richmond, Veteran's Hall - Resources from Town Welfare Office, Meals on Wheels, SW Community Services, Home Healthcare & Community Services, and Humane Society.
August 19: Fitzwilliam, Rhododendron School – Resources from Nurse’s Association, SW Community Services, Home Healthcare & Community Services and Humane Society.
September 30, 2-4pm: Antrim, The Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center, 4 Aiken St. – Home Healthcare and Community Services and Humane Society.
October 14, 1-3pm: Nelson, Nelson Elementary School – 441 Granite Lake Rd.
