The mission of the New Hampshire Food Bank is to feed hungry people by soliciting and effectively distributing grocery products and perishable foods, and offering innovative programs through a statewide network of approved agencies; by advocating for systemic change; and by educating the public about the nature of, and solutions to, problems of hunger in New Hampshire. The NH Food Bank, in partnership with the NH Food Alliance, NH Farm Bureau, and NOFA-NH, launched NH Feeding NH, a statewide initiative designed to support the purchase of NH grown food to feed food insecure neighbors with nutritious locally grown produce, fruit, dairy protein, and more.

Southwestern Community Services (SCS), a Community Action Agency, has served the needs of Cheshire and Sullivan County citizens since 1965. The WIC program provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education at no cost to the families of low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to 5 years of age.
