Recommendation: Through a competitive proposal process, fund comprehensive technical assistance and training programs for organic and sustainable production techniques, focused on topics like transitioning to organic, integrated pest management (IPM), and record keeping.

Current work happening on this recommendation:

• American Farmland Trust provides direct, on‑farm technical assistance (TA) to NH farmers through multiple projects (soil health cohorts, conservation planning, nutrient management planning pilot, regenerative agriculture, whole farm planning, grazing planning), supporting practice planning, funding access, and implementation. This TA is explicitly tied to long‑term farm viability, climate resilience, soil health, regenerative agriculture & sustainable production as an economic as well as environmental strategy.
