The Policy Workgroup serves as a forum for coordinated engagement on state-level policy that advances the NH Food and Agriculture Strategic Plan. In this pilot year (2026-2027) the workgroup will test and refine an approach for identifying a focused set of annual policy priorities, building teams of subject matter experts and advocates around those priorities, and strengthening relationships with legislators and partner organizations. The workgroup will help determine how the network can most effectively and collaboratively engage in policy development and advocacy while ensuring that priorities are grounded in the shared goals and recommendations of the NH Food and Agriculture Strategic Plan. To support learning and refinement, participation in the pilot year will be limited to a small group drawn from the Network Leadership Team, with the intention of developing a model that can be expanded and adapted for broader network engagement in future years.
