Michael Faber

Monadnock Food Co-op

Michael has spent the last 22 years working in Cooperatives, the last 16 in the position of General Manager.

Michael started my Co-op career at the Berkshire Co-op Market in 2001.   With a business degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Michael was quickly able to find ways to help the Co-op improve operations.

In 2007, Michael was hired as General Manager of Wild Oats Market in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Michael spent 5 successful years at Wild Oats, completing multiple re-set projects which resulted in strong store growth and improved financial performance.

Michael is currently the General Manager of the Monadnock Food Co-op in Keene, New Hampshire, a start-up Co-op that opened its doors in April of 2013.  Michael joined in November 2011, taking on the role of guiding the Board, founding members and ultimately the staff through the pre-opening phase and operational start-up in April 2013.  In 2021 MFC completed a $10 million dollar expansion project, expanding our footprint to almost 20,000 ft.

Outside of the Co-op, Michael lives with his wife and two boys on Hancock NH.  They enjoy farm and food related projects including maple sugaring. Michael coaches his son’s soccer and basketball teams and the family enjoys mountain biking when free time allows.
