
Ben Amsden
Ben Amsden (a contributing author on the Access to Capital brief in the NH Food & Agriculture Strategic Plan) is the Initiative Lead for Basic Needs and Impact Investing at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. He coordinates grant funding, capacity building, partnerships, and advocacy in support of organizations focusing on food systems, housing, homelessness, transportation, and community health. He also oversees the Foundation’s growing portfolio of impact investments, which provide low-cost, patient capital to projects that create significant community impact. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2018, Ben served as a faculty member and director of the Center for Rural Partnerships at Plymouth State University. Ben holds a PhD from Penn State University and lives in Holderness.
