Marie Collins
Marie Collins is an educator, researcher & community organizer living in Southern Maine. She is one of the co-founders of Cultivate, a women-led NH non-profit working at the intersection of racial\social justice and food sovereignty. Cultivate hosts two annual events that celebrate and elevate the contributions of communities who have been historically marginalized by New England food systems; The New England BIPOC Festival and Farm-a-Q. Marie’s background is in teaching and sustainability and she is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of New Hampshire studying teacher education and curriculum design. She works in community engagement & student affairs for the UNH Graduate School and is a graduate advisor to the UNH Sustainability Institute.
