NH Food Funders Workgroup

The goal of the NH Food Funders Workgroup is to align philanthropic and mission driven capital to advance the NH Food and Agriculture Strategic Plan. Starting with a focus on philanthropic capital, we’re bringing together funders that are interested in supporting a stronger food system in New Hampshire to build relationships, learn together and coordinate funding as it relates to the NH Food and Agriculture Strategic Plan.

Focus area #1: Trusted sharing and relationship building. Enable low-pressure sharing of information (including strategies, projects and programs with critical need or novel approaches) so members can learn from each other, identify opportunities for collaboration, and reduce wasted effort from imperfect information.

Focus Area #2: Advance the NH Food and Agriculture Strategic Plan by exploring funding opportunities that support implementation workgroups, the projects that they identify, and other opportunities that accelerate the progress of the Strategic Plan.

Focus Area #3: Explore the role of mission-aligned capital, including loans, recoverable grants, lines of credit, recoverable grants, lines of credit, recoverable grants, lines of credit, guarantees, equity, blended finance, and other creative capital stacks. Explore market-facing opportunities and projects named in the NH Food and Agriculture Strategic Plan that need tailored financial solutions.

The NH Food Funders Workgroup is a private workgroup facilitated by the NH Food Alliance. It meets every other month. If you are a funder focused on the food system and would like to join this group, please email the NH Food Alliance Director, Nicole Cardwell at nicole.cardwell@unh.edu.
